If Trine is crashing on you …
Posted 12th July 2009 in Games
The beautiful indie game Trine ran at a very inconsistent framerate and crashed on me several times, especially when there were physics involved. It was strange, because I assumed that a game like this shouldn’t be very demanding.
I found out that the problem was antialiasing. The difference between having it on or off is very noticable on most games, framerate-wise, but in Trine it’s the difference between crashing every ten minutes and running smoothly.
So disable antialiasing if you’re having problems.
If that doesn’t work, check the official forums.

The Man.
Cheers for that I was at my wits end. The game is sick!

Thank you! I was just about to quit playing it cause it kept crashing the entire system. This fixed it. Such a great game. And such a great advice from you. Thanks again.

This game crashes even before the first level loads :( Any idea’s as to why? All it says is “Trine has stopped working”

You may need to install a program called PhysX so trine is able to work.
